Missy Ward-Angalla

Ministry Location: Uganda
Missy Ward
Commissioned: 2012

Ward is serving as the refugee women’s advocacy coordinator for Refuge and Hope International in Kampala, which is directed by CBF field personnel Jade and Shelah Acker. She has initiated a new social work and women's ministry program called Amani Sasa.

Amani Sasa ministers to refugee women and girls who are traumatized, abused, trafficked and/or vulnerable to exploitation. The ministry includes a shelter recovery program for young women affected by severe trauma and exploitation, a vocational training program for women at risk and a social work ministry for refugee women, girls and families in crisis.

“I am grateful to my CBF family for their prayers and financial support. I would appreciate prayers for strength, discernment, direction and for doors to open for partnerships in Uganda with local NGOs. I also would appreciate people to pray for the holistic rehabilitation of young girls and women affected by intimate partner violence and trafficking ‒  pray that they would know and understand they are loved by God, cared for by their community and have a purpose for their lives.”
