Chaouki & Maha Boulos
Location: Lebanon and the Middle East
Chaouki and Maha Boulos coordinate “Celebrate Jesus” rallies in Lebanon and neighboring countries, where thousands of people have heard about Jesus Christ – some for the first time. The ministry stems from a vision Chaouki had in the late 1990s to share Christ with large groups of people. Because he and Maha grew up in Lebanon he knew the religious freedom in Lebanon might provide "the open door to reach the peoples of the Middle East," Chaouki said.
Lebanon has provided that open door, and now the Bouloses ministries stretch beyond the rallies to celebrate Christ. In 2012 Maha began a women's group of 15-20 women, which included Syrian refugees, to pray and study the Bible together. The group that now meets is over 300 women who study and pray together, as well as package food for over 300 refugee families. Togehter, the Bouloses have facilitated Vacation Bible Schools, sports camps, children’s ministry and prison outreach. They help distribute food and medicine to families in need, and have given street children shoes and provided women with dental care. The Bouloses host both medical and dental clinics for those who cannot afford care. Now, one of their priorities is opening a conference and training center for churches in the region, as they continue to minister to the refugee community that they serve.
