Together for Hope - Appalachia Ministry
The ministry in Appalachia is in three counties: McCreary, Owsley and Powell in Kentucky. The Atlantic ministry is in North Carolina(Halifax) and South Carolina(Allendale). In these counties, there are those that find themselves homeless or without an income. Field personnel and local leaders are working to empower people to change their future. Whether it is transitioning from not having a home and job to finding a job and a place to live.

Field personnel, churches, and local leaders are working to improve the educational possibilities of youth and children in communities within the focal counties.
In Roanoke Rapids, people are transitioning from homelessness at Union Mission and Room at the Inn. Participants in the programs of these ministries create relationships with one another and have opportunities to worship and study together. Through small groups, participants are developing community within the Union Mission. They also transition into jobs that will provide income enough for them to afford homes. At Union Mission, food co-op groups have been formed to help provide for families in the area. Over 9,000 boxes of food are distributed annually through this ministry.
